I’ve very excited that one of my favorite apps, LongScreen, is this week’s sponsor of markdmill.com. If you’re anything like me, you frequently take screenshots of articles, tweets, images, SMS conversations, and anything else you want to save or share. • For vertical images, LongScreen detects and removes the system status bar as well as the app menu bars so that the joined images appear as one seamless image (see picture)
• When combining images horizontally, LongScreen allows you to adjust the padding between
• In everything, LongScreen gives you the option to also cleanup the system status bar so you don’t need to tell the world what your carrier or battery status is
• After merging the images, LongScreen gives you the option to delete the original images (yes!) and shows you the system share sheet so you can share the image wherever you desire
• LongScreen even supports x-callback-url schemes, so you can add powerful automation to it

Look at the image above and compare it to the originals below:  Notice how LongScreen cleaned up the status bar (hiding my embarrassingly low battery), stitched the images together seamlessly (even though one screenshot split a line of text), and removed the appropriate top and bottom menu bars.
